              This site is designed to be a free-share resource for horseback
riding - along the eastern slope of the Rocky Mountains, Colorado.

From riding trails and tent camp sites ... to Bed & Breakfasts with horse
accommodations and guest ranches.  There are literally hundreds of
trails along the front range to enjoy with our horses!
New trail reviews are always being added.

     Many years ago, when I first started to ride, I would ask the folks at
our boarding stable .... where's the trails??  Most folks knew of two or
three.  At the time, about the only book around for trail riders, was very
much out of date - by a decade!  Many of the parking lots no longer
existed, many of the trails had been vastly changed.  

So, I began to take notes.  In recent years, began to photo-document as
well.  I would share these notes with other riders who had time to get
together and take a peek at these massive binders (now 200+ trails!)  In
2004, I even put 64 favorite trails in a simple self-published book,
"Rocky Mountain Trails, vol.1"  

Now, after a decade - and much encouragement from fellow riders - I am
gradually transcribing my binder notes & photos to a website format.

     I hope you enjoy the site!  The trail reviews are the results of my own
experience on the trails, notes from others who have ridden the trails,
and research on the internet.  
The website itself is the direct result of so many folks who have asked to
see these notes, but could not meet up in person.

I fund the website on my own (no sponsors) - as a labor of love.  Please
keep in mind, it is all volunteer work in my "spare" time and I am not a
website designer  ;-)   It is not perfection - but will hopefully be helpful to
fellow trail riding enthusiasts!

     If there is a particular trail you would like to see transcribed sooner -
drop me a note, and I will get to it next   ;-)    If you would like to help
support this website - there is a classified section, or, a small donation is
also much welcomed.
