"Bonnie Jean RMT"   Border Collie (Blue), registered CKC, ASDR & WCDR. Pics at 7 mths (sticking her tongue
out!) and 1 yr old.  Bonnie helps her "siblings" bring in the livestock, as well as the important job of "cuddle bunny".
She is Star's # 1 ruff-n-tumble play buddy, too.  She goes everywhere with us - work days, camping trips, you name it.
"Shining Star SH"   an Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Tick Heeler), registered CKC, ASDR & WCDR. Pictures at 1
mth, 5 mth, 1 yr, 2 yrs old (playing with her "siblings".)  Heelers are natural work dogs.  Her # 1 job is all around
companion pup, family protector, plus she helps in herding our livestock in from pasture.  She also goes everywhere
with her "siblings" Bonnie, Katie & Laddie.
"My Lady Tessa"  registered AHA Arabian mare, 22 yrs old, 13.3 hands.  She is another quiet girl that shows off
all the best qualities of these little horses!  Was a show horse in her younger days, then trail riding, and now she also
helps out in the family pony ride business, as well as a family guest trail horse.
"Bonnie Katie"   Border Collie (traditional Black & White), registered CKC & ASDR.  Pics at 2 mths (her first
camping trip, trying to join in her big sister's Tug'oWar game!) and at 1 yr old.  She too helps with the livestock - in
fact, she & Star are the best of the quartet!  Katie would rather work likestock than play fetch!
"Angel"  registered Welsh pony mare, 8 yrs old, 11.1 h.  She is trained for hand led saddle rides, also reins for her
rider, plus drives in cart.  She lends a hoof in our family pony ride business, plus gives riding lessons.
"Lucky Lil Laddie"   Border Collie (unusual Blue Merle Tri, with blue eyes), registered ABCA, ASDR, CKC.
Pics at 2 mths, 1 yr old.  What a camera ham!  Laddie is RMT Border Collie's daddy - available for service.
Such a handsome boy!
"Morning Mist"  grade QuarterHorse/Arabian mare, 19 yrs old, 13.3 h.  She is a very reliable, very calm trail
horse.  A great little girl!  She helps out in the family pony ride business, as well as a family guest trail horse.
"Sassy Britches" grade Haflinger mare, 9 yrs old, 13.2 hands.   She has been a children's show & gymkhana
horse, as well as years of trail riding.  Riding Sass is like enjoying the trails on a short, comfy couch!    :-)    She can
have quit an "opinion" under saddle (thus her name) but we are working on that!    :-)

The "dynamics" of the small Haflinger breed: Haflingers can carry more weight than the average horses for several reasons.  Haflingers
tend to have short strong backs, wide loins (which is an indicator of weight carrying abilities), cannon bones that are as thick as their
larger horse counterparts but are also shorter and thus even stronger, a good bone density, and lots of powerhouse muscling.  Also,
the shortness is a positive feature because taller horses need to spend more effort in balance than a shorter wider horse. Their short
height is not a problem for riders either - as their width takes up a rider's leg room.
"Party Dude" is a 5 yr old, pinto Welsh-Hackney pony gelding.
He is in training for hand led rides at pony parties.
"Peppermint Twist" grade Appaloosa/PasoFino mare, 14 yrs old, 14.2 h.  A reliable trail buddy - our biggest horse!
Pepper comes from a breeding program with the goal to re-introduce the old "Indian Shuffle" into the Appy breed.
Years ago, the Appies had a type of gait - however, in the modern show rings, this was discouraged, and breeders
sadly successfully bred it out.  In modern times, some breeders are trying to "recreate" the old gait.
